The Rhodesian giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis thornicrofti) is found only in the Luangwa Valley of Zambia with around 550 living individuals. The yellow-billed oxpecker is a common companion, gleaning pests from the giraffe’s fur in a symbiotic relationship.
